Welcome to the VALUE SCOUT Project ...
Sport and culture have always been recognised as a major factor in the development of human knowledge, understanding and values, and hence along with citizenship and human rights, as a necessary substratum for a fulfilling life. Both activities contain an inherently relevant dimension for the whole of society, representing one of the core arenas for our schools to address educational goals.
In
order to further investigate this theme and therefore to contribute to
a more inclusive and fair development of European societies by
impacting
on younger generations, VALUE SCOUT identified and
analysed recognised good practices, initiatives of excellence and
innovative examples on the role of sports and cultural practices for
value building (e.g. respect, tolerance, solidarity, collaboration,
fairness, social integration, etc) in
formal contexts (i.e. schools) and in non-formal and informal settings
(e.g. sport clubs, theatres, associations, etc) and elaborated a set of
future scenarios, related indicators and policy recommendations focused
on the educative and socialising dimensions of sport and
culture. Come and explore with us VALUE SCOUT's Objectives, Activities, Main Outputs, Key Messages, the Partnership and the Best Practice Collection, all summarised in the 'Executive Summary' of the VALUE SCOUT project ...
