European eLearning Quality Conference

The main activity of the project is an inclusive and comprehensive analysis of the case for the development of a sustainable environment (eLearning Quality Forum + Laboratory) for e-Learning standards conformance and quality assurance.
The environment is based on the outcomes of a consensus-building exercise that draw upon the various approaches to quality definition and quality assurance practice currently used by a broad range of stakeholders in education and training in the public and private sectors. In fact, in order to get to a comprehensive quality framework, all the different "cultures of quality" of the different users groups (industry, academia, professional development, students, etc.) are invited to contribute to the Forum not only in terms of technical solutions, but also as far as the different quality concepts, principles, habits and visions are concerned.

The results of the SEEQUEL project are intended to serve the needs and practices of all interest groups in the field of eLearning, whether commercial or otherwise, keeping a focus on users' requirements and points of view and thus to assist in the promotion of a sustainable market for e-learning products and services. In particular, the project outputs, apart from the establishment of the eLearning Quality Forum per se, aim at meeting the varying needs of two different groups of stakeholders:

The broad European E&T community:
  • Learners
  • Teachers, trainers, practitioners and learning managers
  • Policy makers
  • Research actors
The European e-learning market supply side actors:
  • ICT producers
  • Design & development actors
  • Publishers and multimedia/web producers
