Abstract:
This report is the result of a strategic review of a representative group of 50 "Principal Representatives of Supply" (PRS) drawn from 7 countries. PRS were identified from six sectors of the e-learning market, and interviewed according to a common schedule of open-ended questions. Interviews were arranged in order to detect their strategic orientation, specifically regarding current and future trends in the e-learning market. Responses were analysed on a cross-European cross-sector basis, enabling common themes and differences to emerge.
The interviews covered the following major themes:
- Market dynamics
- The role of public policies and funding
- Concentration and strategic alliances
- Pricing and quality strategies
- Imports, exports, internationalisation
